Overview
This is a simple, straightforward refund policy for BoltBot⚡. It supplements our Paid Services Terms, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between this Refund Policy and the Paid Services Terms, the Paid Services Terms shall prevail.
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. Refunds are one-time only per purchase category. All time periods referenced in this policy are measured in UTC calendar days unless otherwise specified.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Stripe. Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Approved refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement after approval.
Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original purchase. We are not responsible for currency conversion fees or bank charges that may be applied by your financial institution.
Subscription Refunds
BoltBot⚡ offers various subscription tiers with premium features.
New Subscriptions
You may request a refund within 5 days of your initial subscription purchase, provided the subscription has not been excessively used during that period.
Renewals
Renewal charges may be refunded within 48 hours of the renewal date, provided no premium features have been used after the renewal. To avoid unwanted charges, cancel your subscription before the renewal date.
Free Trial Conversions
If your free trial converts to a paid subscription, you may request a refund within 5 days of the charge. Your subscription will be cancelled immediately upon request. Reminders are sent before your trial period ends.
Annual vs. Monthly
The same refund terms apply to both annual and monthly subscriptions. If you have used an annual subscription for 30 or more days, we may offer a prorated refund for the remaining full months at our discretion.
Bolt Boost Refunds
Bolt Boosts enhance Discord servers with additional features and capabilities.
New Purchases
You may request a refund within 5 days of purchase if the Boost has not been applied to a server, or if it was applied less than 24 hours ago.
Renewals
Boost renewal charges may be refunded within 48 hours of the renewal date. The Boost will be removed from the server upon refund.
Transferred or Removed Boosts
Applied a Boost to the wrong server? Contact us within 24 hours and we may transfer the Boost or issue a refund. No refunds are issued for voluntarily leaving a server that you have boosted.
Bundled Purchases
Refunds for bundled purchases apply to the entire bundle only; no partial refunds are available for individual bundle components. If any component of a bundle has been used beyond evaluation, the entire bundle becomes ineligible for a refund.
Any promotional pricing applied to a bundle is forfeited upon refund.
AI Service & Third-Party Issues
AI Provider Outages
No refunds are issued for temporary outages of third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Google, xAI, Cloudflare). In the event of extended downtime exceeding 72 consecutive hours, we may issue service credits at our discretion.
AI Response Quality
No refunds are issued for dissatisfaction with the quality or accuracy of AI-generated responses. AI is inherently unpredictable, and output quality can vary. If you are unsatisfied, we recommend cancelling your subscription.
Rate Limiting
No refunds are issued for rate limiting or throttling. Usage limits are detailed in your subscription tier. Upgrade to a higher tier for increased limits.
AI Model Changes
No refunds are issued when AI providers update, modify, or discontinue their models. We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative models when available.
Discord Platform Issues
Discord Outages
No refunds are issued for service disruptions caused by Discord platform outages. Extended outages exceeding 72 consecutive hours may result in service credits at our discretion.
User Account Issues
No refunds are issued if your Discord account is suspended or terminated by Discord. Your ability to use BoltBot⚡ depends on maintaining a Discord account in good standing.
BoltBot Removal from Discord
In the unlikely event that BoltBot⚡ is removed from the Discord platform, prorated refunds will be issued for remaining prepaid subscription time. We will notify all affected users promptly.
Technical Issues and Bugs
- No refunds are issued for minor bugs or temporary glitches that do not substantially affect service functionality.
- If a significant bug prevents access to core premium features for 7 or more consecutive days, you may be eligible for a prorated refund for the affected period.
- Bug reports are appreciated and help us improve the service, but submitting a bug report does not entitle you to a refund.
- No refunds are issued for issues caused by your own hardware, software, internet connection, or device configuration.
Unauthorized Purchases and Minors
Unauthorized Purchases
If you believe an unauthorized purchase was made on your account, contact us immediately. You have 30 days from the date of the charge to submit an unauthorized purchase claim. We may request verification of your identity and account ownership. Claims may be denied if evidence suggests the charge was fraudulent or the account holder benefited from the purchase.
Purchases by Minors
A parent or legal guardian may request a refund for purchases made by a minor within 30 days of the charge. Verification of the parent/guardian relationship may be required. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's online activity and purchases.
Content Moderation and Account Actions
No refunds are issued for:
- Content moderation actions taken against your account
- Account suspension due to violations of our Terms of Service
- Account termination for policy violations
- Loss of conversation history or stored data due to enforcement actions
- Restrictions imposed due to fraud or abuse detection
Violations of our policies result in forfeiture of any remaining subscription time, Bolt Boosts, and credits.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable except where required by applicable law:
- Purchases made more than 5 days ago
- A second refund request for the same purchase category
- Purchases associated with accounts that violated our policies
- Consumed AI credits or usage
- Purchases made with promotional pricing or discounts
- Purchases where a chargeback has been filed
- Promotional credits
- Services that have been fully rendered
- Currency conversion or processing fees
- Beta or early access features with disclosed refund exclusions
How to Request a Refund
1. Gather Your Payment Information
Have your payment ID, the email address associated with your account, and your Discord username ready before contacting us.
2. Contact Support
Reach out to us via email at support@boltbot.app or through our Discord Support Server.
3. Wait for Review
Refund requests are reviewed within 72 hours. Complex cases may require additional time for investigation.
4. Receive Your Refund
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and returned to your original payment method. Allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Refund Denials and Appeals
If your refund request is denied, you will receive a clear explanation of the reason. You may appeal a refund denial within 14 days of the decision.
Appeals are reviewed by a different team member to ensure fairness. The appeal decision is final.
Chargebacks
Contact us before filing a chargeback
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us will result in immediate account suspension pending investigation.
Fraudulent chargebacks may result in:
- Permanent account termination
- Forfeiture of all remaining subscription time, Bolt Boosts, and credits
- Ban from future use of BoltBot⚡ services
- Collection efforts for the disputed amount
- Reporting to fraud prevention databases

Refund Abuse
We reserve the right to refuse refunds and terminate accounts that engage in refund abuse, including but not limited to:
- Repeated purchase and refund cycles
- Extensive use of services before requesting a refund
- Providing false or misleading information in refund requests
- Using multiple accounts to circumvent refund policy limits
- Requesting refunds for services that have been fully used
- Patterns of chargebacks across accounts
- Coordinated refund abuse with other users
- Manipulation of usage data or account information
Accounts engaged in refund abuse may be permanently banned and reported to fraud prevention services.
Service Cancellation After Refund
Upon issuance of a refund:
- Access to premium features is terminated immediately
- Bolt Boosts are removed from all associated servers
- All premium features and capabilities are revoked
- Your account is downgraded to the free tier
- Any promotional offers or discounts are revoked
- Your one-time refund eligibility for that purchase category is consumed
- Transaction records are retained for fraud prevention purposes
Partial and Prorated Refunds
Prorated refunds may be issued in the following situations: annual subscriptions used for 30 or more days, extended service outages, and service discontinuation. Prorated amounts are calculated based on full remaining months or weeks, not individual days.
Partial refunds may be issued when only a portion of the service was affected. All partial and prorated refunds are issued at our sole discretion. Acceptance of a partial or prorated refund constitutes full satisfaction of the refund claim.
EU and UK Consumers
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have additional statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Directive. By consenting to immediate provision of digital content, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal may be waived.
Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory rights where they cannot be waived or limited by agreement. EU consumers may also access the Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Dispute Resolution
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. The dispute resolution procedures outlined in our Paid Services Terms apply to any disputes arising from this policy.
Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us at support@boltbot.app for at least 30 days. Any disputes not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Delaware.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER
General Terms
Severability: If any provision of this Refund Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement: This Refund Policy, together with our Terms of Service, Paid Services Terms, and Privacy Policy, constitutes the complete agreement regarding refunds.
Changes:We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice. Updated terms apply to purchases made after the new effective date. Purchases made before the effective date will be evaluated under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
